An invitation to explore, connect, and play. 

The Community Sensory Experience is a flexible, hands-on experience designed to meet children where they are.

Each pop-up experience centers around one thoughtfully designed sensory, creative, movement, or play invitation. Children are encouraged to explore in their own way, with no expectation to complete, create, perform, or participate in a particular way.  

The experiences are designed to be open-ended, accessible, child-led, and connection-focused, making them a wonderful addition to libraries, schools, therapy practices, community events, family gatherings, and other inclusive spaces. 

Experiences may include: 

• Sensory Exploration--a hands-on sensory exploration inspired by different themes for scooping, discovery, and imaginative play.
• Create Your Way --an open-ended creative experience where children explore materials and create something uniquely their own.
• Nature-Inspired Experiences --Open-ended invitations using natural materials to explore, create, and connect.

And more! 

Each experience includes: 

• One facilitated sensory or creative invitation
• Open-ended exploration
• Child-led participation
• A take-home creation or experience when applicable.
• Materials for the take-home creation included for each participant.

Participation is always an invitation -- never a requirement.

Children may explore one station, move between experiences, observe, take a break, participate alongside a caregiver, or simply be present. There is no expectation to complete, create, perform, or participate in a particular way. All forms of participation are valid.
